Tech III (Metrology)ZYGO Corporation is a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced optical metrology systems and ultra-precise optical components and assemblies.

ZYGO's metrology products measure absolute position, displacement, surface shape and texture and film thickness.

Our optics business leverages ZYGO's expertise in optical design and assembly and high-volume manufacturing of precision optical components and systems for aerospace, defense, medical and industrial applications.
WHAT YOU'LL DOPerform various tests on optical surfaces including interferometer, CMM, AFM, and PMMPerform calibration and insure proper operation on specific equipment and custom optical testsSetup and break down various test configurationsRun software analysis routines on test data and interpret results as passing or failingHandle and clean optical components without downgrading the surfacesMaintain a clean and orderly work environment by following cleaning schedules and inventory controlPerform maintenance and preventatives maintenance on test equipment and toolingWork with engineering on developing testing methods for new productsWHAT YOU NEED TO KNOWAssociate degree in related technical field plus 5 years related work experience or HS Diploma or equivalent plus 8 years related work experienceExperience in manufacturing environmentExperience with simple troubleshooting of processesExperience with optics and optical testing preferred but not requiredTeam player with good communication skillsCareful, well organized and detail orientedStrong computer skills including MS Work and ExcelBasic math skillsWHAT'S NICE TO HAVE Experience in manufacturing industry WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOWCompetitive benefits401(k)Due to the nature of Zygo's programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the US and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
